Everybody loves Marcia. Approachable and charismatic, she likes people and understands their needs.

The fourth generation in a family of Realtors, Marcia grew up in the business. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she used to help her father set up for open houses when she was 4 years old. The real estate business is an innate part of her, and her passion and excitement are always evident.

A compassionate, intuitive listener, Marcia doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Raising her son alone while taking care of her parents taught her to keep her eyes on the big picture. Trained in journalism with a minor in business marketing from The Ohio State University, she has well-honed interviewing, marketing and selling skills. She makes it look easy.

Proudly, her family’s legacy continues with her son. A graduate of Pine View School for the Gifted and went on to earn a Masters of Architecture from Tulane University. He is presently working at the esteemed firm of AS+GG in Chicago. They have traveled extensively, enjoying the buildings, the people and their customs.

A Sarasota resident since 1979, Marcia has an appreciation of the arts and an intrinsic love of water which match her well with the area. Upon joining the Sarasota real estate market in 1981, she soon made the brilliant decision to partner with Paulene Soublis. Together, they joined the flagship office of Michael Saunders & Company in 1986, where they were consistently the Top Team, setting many records, and placing in the top tier of powerhouse producers year after year. They continue their successful collaboration with their decision to join Michael Saunders & Company coveted South Longboat Key office.

People can count on Paulene. Focused, determined and exacting, she guides clients from contract to closing, assuring that transactions are handled properly and in a timely fashion.

Real estate has always been Paulene’s passion from an early age. Every Sunday when her father brought home the newspaper, she would go straight to the real estate section and read every ad, visualizing each home.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Paulene is the daughter of Greek immigrants, who passed along to her an exceptional work ethic. Fluent in Greek, she married young, and raised three daughters while working in her husband’s restaurant business. When they sold that business, Paulene pursued her longtime interest in real estate and earned her Pennsylvania real estate license.

Upon moving to Sarasota in 1984, Paulene joined Merrill Lynch Realty, where she teamed up with Marcia Salkin. Paulene recognized in Marcia the same high professional and ethical standards and exemplary service to clients that she valued herself. They have been successful together for more than 20 years, at Michael Saunders & Company, earning the admiration of their peers and a loyal customer base.

As Paulene’s business grew, so did her family. Married for 41 years, Paulene and her husband George of El Greco Café enjoy family occasions and travel with their five grandchildren, feeling very fortunate to have them all in the Sarasota area.
